Inbound Logistics Names LMS a 2004 Top 100 3PL
Press Release - 8/12/2004
ST. LOUIS – Logistics Management Solutions (LMS), a non-asset-based third-party logistics provider, was recently named a 2004 Top 100 Third Party Logistics Provider by Inbound Logistics, a nationally distributed magazine for logistics and transportation professionals. LMS earned this recognition because its service offerings best meet the diverse needs of Inbound Logistics readers.
To compile this annual list, Inbound Logistics editors evaluate a wide variety of third party logistics providers (3PLs) from around the country. The chosen companies are listed alphabetically in the magazine’s July edition and online at www.inboundlogistics.com.
In addition to making its debut on the magazine’s top 3PL list, LMS was also listed as a 2004 Top 100 Logistics Information Technology Provider in the April edition of Inbound Logistics.
LMS offers a unique combination of proven logistics strategies and award-winning Web-native technology. Together, these capabilities enable LMS to design and execute programs that reduce shippers’ transportation costs while maintaining or improving safety and customer service standards.
"Given the growing acceptance of inbound practices, and the complexity of better matching supply to demand, it's impressive to see LMS providing the kinds of solutions Inbound Logistics readers need,” says Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics. “It's tough to keep up with customer needs in any environment, but the speed with which change is happening is a testament to LMS' ability to continue to meet, and in some cases, anticipate customers' evolving needs."
LMS is a non-asset-based, third-party logistics provider that brings millions of dollars in transportation cost savings to some of the world’s best-known companies, including BASF, Monsanto and The Scotts Company. We combine Web-enabled technology with proven logistics practices to offer optimization, execution and data management services that maximize our clients’ operational efficiencies.
