Inbound Logistics Names LMS a 2004 Top 100 Logistics Information Technology Provider
Press Release - 5/10/2004

ST. LOUIS – Logistics Management Solutions (LMS), a non-asset-based third-party logistics provider, was recently named a “2004 Top 100 Logistics Information Technology Provider” by Inbound Logistics, a nationally distributed magazine for logistics and transportation professionals. LMS earned this recognition based on the extensive offerings of its proprietary, Web-enabled transportation management system, TOTAL.

To compile this annual list, Inbound Logistics editors evaluate products from logistics information technology providers throughout the country. The chosen companies are listed alphabetically in the magazine’s April edition. According to Inbound Logistics, LMS was selected because its system, TOTAL, best meets the diverse needs of today’s industry professionals.

“Given the dynamism in the logistics technology segment, it's impressive to see Logistics Management Solutions providing the kinds of solutions Inbound Logistics readers need,” says Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics. “It's tough to keep up with customer needs in any environment, but the speed with which change is happening is a testament to LMS' ability to keep pace and in some cases anticipate customers' evolving needs. For that reason, Inbound Logistics editors have recognized LMS as one of this year's Top 100 Logistics IT companies."

Many organizations, including Monsanto, BASF and The Scotts Company, rely on TOTAL to help them meet – and exceed – their customer service and financial goals. Deployed in 2001, TOTAL enables LMS and its customers to effectively manage transportation resources and significantly reduce transportation costs while meeting stringent delivery deadlines. TOTAL combines proven logistics practices with Web-enabled technology to offer a flexible and robust system that produces results in as little as 60 days.

LMS is an information-based, third-party logistics firm specializing in transportation optimization. LMS uses a variety of services and technologies to maximize their clients’ operational efficiencies. Some of the world’s best-known companies turn to LMS for logistics technology and execution services.
